For over 15 years Hive North has been producing professional theatre productions across the UK. Since 2016 we have been delivering a unique approach to drama training that focusses on building confidence and engaging young people of all abilities.
"I’m thrilled to support Hive Youth, it’s brilliant and the kids love working with Adam and the team"

We develop the skills of our students in a variety of areas not exclusive to performance – we work as a company and teach that everyone has a role to play, whether backstage, onstage, on camera or behind the camera.

We recognise that every child has unique needs, qualities and interests and we aim to inspire their creativity, improve self-esteem, and develop important life skills.

Past students have gone on to join the National Youth Theatre, the Royal Exchange and work on CBeebies, BBC Radio and ITV's hit soap Coronation Street.

All of our teachers are DBS checked, trained arts teachers and industry professionals from the stage and screen, giving students invaluable insight and experience.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for my son. I am in awe of how much confidence you have given him and how clever you are with how you encourage your students
It is a wonderful place for children of all abilities. Fabulous friendly atmosphere. All children are made to feel special, and it gives them confidence in their own abilities
My daughter loves it. It can be quite difficult to get her involved in outside activities so whatever they are doing at Hive Youth, they are
doing it brilliantly

Our annual Summer School returns to Broadbottom for children aged 7 -16. Over five fun-filled days, the group will create theatre and film projects, building to a performance on Friday afternoon.
Our Summer School is more than just a series of activities—it's an opportunity to foster lifelong friendships and instill self-confidence. Through drama games and improvisations, we empower our students to express themselves freely, fostering a fun, supportive environment that encourages growth and camaraderie.
Aspiring performers will revel in the opportunity to hone their performance skills as they immerse themselves in the art of acting, explore musical numbers, and get hands-on experience filming on location. This unforgettable journey is crafted to engage young people of all abilities and interests.

Drama games and improvisations will help the students build confidence and make new friends. The group will be given the opportunity to develop performance skills as they prepare acting scenes, practice musical numbers and film on location. Throughout the week there will be daily challenges and projects designed for young people of all abilities and interests.

Each day introduces new challenges and projects, specifically designed to captivate young minds and broaden their horizons. Here at our Summer School, every child becomes a star, ready to shine and create unforgettable memories.
